The company was founded by the current Managing Directors Grandfather Jack Jones in 1910 and has remained a family run business and is now in its fourth generation. The company is operated by four family descendants namely Keith Jones, Gill Jones, their son Paul and daughter Kate.
Our success over the years has been built on the expertise, knowledge, experience and skills of our dedicated team. The majority of our team have been with the company for many years and which enables us to maintain excellent working relationships with all of our clients.
We are an accredited member of the NHBC and all of our residential new builds will be independently surveyed during the course of construction by NHBC who will issue their Certificate upon completion of the home. NHBC is the UK’s leading independent standard-setting body and provider of warranty and insurance for new homes. They work with the house-building industry to raise the standards of new homes and to provide protection for homebuyers in the form of Buildmark warranty and insurance.
We are also registered with both LABC Warranty, an alternative new home warranty provider and Considerate Constructors Scheme which provides a code of practice which commits us to care about appearance, respect the community, protect the environment, secure everyone’s safety and value our workforce.
Meet the Team / Family
Keith Jones
Managing Director
Keith commenced working for the company in 1968 along with starting a City and Guilds apprenticeship in Carpentry. He learnt his trade and invaluable experience off other members of the J J Jones team and his late father Lewis.
In 1976 Keith and his wife Gill became directors of the company and took over the day-to-day business operations from his father. Under Keith’s direction the company grew and fast established a reputation for high quality building work.
Keith, now Managing Director, plays a pivotal role both on site and in the head office with his years of experience in the construction industry.
Paul Jones
Director
Paul joined the family firm in 1995 after he finished Secondary school. Paul worked on site learning his trades and also attended St Austell College where he obtained an NVQ Level 1,2 & 3 in Carpentry and Craft Masonry, Principle of Construction and became a trained plant and Machine Operator.
In 2001 the company built its own purpose built offices next to the joinery workshop. Once the offices were complete Paul transitioned across to the office and became a Director of the company.
Paul oversees all operations and ensures that the company remain their reputation for high quality building work, delivered on time, and on budget.
Kate Jones
Office Manager
Kate joined the company in 2003 when her twin daughters started nursery. Kate started as an Office Assistant, dealing with administrative duties and assisting the accounts department and her mother, Gill, who was the Office Manager.
In 2007 Kate took the reigns as Office Manager and has been responsible for organising all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of our office. Whilst gaining invaluable experience in the office, Kate has recently obtained a Level 2 AAT qualification and Level 3 in Sage Payroll.
